Virgil E. and Charles R. Morris Scholarship Information

Applications for the Virgil E. and Charles R. Morris Scholarship award are now available at your local Laborer’s Union Office. This scholarship is made possible through the Indiana Laborer’s Training Trust Fund.  Dependent sons and daughters of Laborers’ local unions affiliated with the State of Indiana District Council and dependent sons and daughters of construction management, whose employers contribute to the Indiana Laborers’ Training Trust Fund, are eligible to apply for the scholarship award.  Deadline to apply is April 30. Contact your local Laborer’s union office for more information.

Transporation Day at Evansville Museum – June 3

On Sunday, June 3 from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. the Evansville Museum will be alive with the sights and sounds of TRANSPORTATION DAY. Visitors will be immersed in an array of modes of transportation and can participate in a variety of hands-on activities.

Downtown Evansville Parade is Sunday, November 20!

J.H. Rudolph is excited to announce that we will have a parade float featured in the 2011 Downtown Evansville Christmas Parade, which takes place this Sunday, November 20, 2011 at 3:15 pm (CST).  The parade route map is below.  Use it to get a great spot on the parade route to watch all the wonderful floats and candy tossers as they go by.  Hopefully the rain will hold off!  This event is coordinated by GAGE, the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville, and includes a Santa’s Workshop from noon to 3:00 pm (CST) at the park located at 4th and Main Streets.  Santa’s Workshop will feature photos with Santa, arts and crafts and more!

Pestalozzi Drainage Correction Grounding Breaking in Tell City

   Tell City Mayor Barbara Ewing along with local elected officials and residents living along Pestalozzi Street in Tell City gathered for a ground breaking ceremony to mark the beginning of a long awaited drainage correction project.  Representatives from J.H. Rudolph were on-hand to answer questions and let residents know details about the construction phase.

Rudolph Safety Program.  These new items will be available for purchase, with employee safety dollars, by June 14.  We want to reward our employees for working safely with program items they can use on the job and enjoy on their free time.

J.H. Rudolph & Co., Inc. was a sponsor of the YWCA’s annual Tribute to Achievement award dinner honoring Delores “Dee” Browning.  Employees from the company attended the evening events and enjoyed delicious gourmet cakes from some of Evansville’s best bakeries!

First Aid Fun at JHR Safety Meetings

Employees attended a special CPR and First Aid training session on the first day of a two week long Safety Training Program earlier this month.  Instructors from the local chapter of the American Red Cross lead the training session, covering basic CPR and First Aid for Adults.  While employees learned a lot of valuable life saving skills, they had a little fun in the process!

Pancake Days at the YMCA

J.H. Rudolph & Co., Inc. supported the Evansville YMCA by purchasing tickets for employees and their families to attend their annual Pancake Days, which runs today through Sunday, February 21.  A group of employees started their day off right with all you could eat pancakes at the Downtown YMCA location this morning.  The event features eating contests, face painting, clown and magician visits, as well as a fun atmosphere to eat a great breakfast in.

ICA Scholarship Information

Indiana Construction Association (ICA) has Scholarship Funds available in two areas: the Building Division and the Highway, Heavy & Utility Division.  These Scholarships were created to encourage interest and participation in Indiana construction and industry careers.  Applications are currently being accepted from students interested in applying for a scholarship through the ICA Scholarship Funds.  The Scholarships are administered through the Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF).
